Best places to by supplies

I have only been buying things in stores for as long as I have been crafting except for a few things off Ebay years ago. With all the new focus on planners and TN's where do you buy your inserts, stickers etc? I know there are a bunch off Etsy shops as well as the sites like Wish or Aliexpress.

I'd love to know where you buy your supplies and what sites have the best deals!

Do you plan?

I have been looking at all the cute planners out there but they are so expensive! Some are really cute but .....I really don't plan anything I just put down reminders for bills etc.....and they seem to be more about decorating than using for actual planning. Most of the planners I see in videos have more stickers than anything in them. Yes they are cute but is there really more to it than just a pretty page? Those sticker sets are crazy expensive as well! I know I could use any type of stickers in them as I have seen several done without the ones made specifically for planners but the look is totally different most of the time.

I use the calendar insert in my Davenport book at the moment.  Do any of you use a planner and if so which one and how do you use it?

Selling your work..what works for you?

I haven't tried to sell a journal I have made yet. I have been thinking about it a lot recently but I'm still unsure what the best way is. I had thought about Etsy but after reading about the recent changes I'm not so sure I want to give them that much money. I could do Ebay but not sure how stuff like that is selling on there. Today I spoke to a lady that owns a thrift store near me and she suggested a store right below her that is selling antiques and collectibles on consignment. Again I'm leery about giving that much profit away..but then again how much is too much and what would the difference be in that and having to adjust for postage on say Ebay. The town I live in is not a high end town so I'm not sure what a good price point is.

I'd like to hear from you if you have sold/are currently selling on Etsy, Ebay etc.

Junk Journals

Not that long ago I had never heard of a junk journal. I was an old time scrapbooker who had joined the Smashbook craze and was happily saving any and everything I saw to add to my books...while collecting way too many books! A chance search on Facebook brought up a page about junk journals. I was instantly hooked and have been ever since. It was the style I had been moving to in scrapping then smashing came along...which was fine and I still like that but the junk journaling was a whole new thing. Granted I never journaled a lot but I loved the look ...especially the junkier and grungier ones. I tend to like the messier look the best. One of my favorite ones I made is here

If you do junk journals I'd love to see what you have made. Feel free to share your work or YouTube channel!

Traveler's Notebooks

I have just started using a traveler's notebook in the past couple of months. I originally used a Recollections TN I got from Michael's last year but have switched to a Jane Davenport Butterfly book. The recollections book has become my craft/ YouTube to do list book.  There is a video here showing them both. I can't afford a real TN so the Davenport book is great for me.

Do you use a Traveler's Notebook and if so what kind? I'd love to see which ones you use and how you use them. I have seen so many different ways to use TN. Would love to hear from you!

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog. I will be sharing my own journals, notebooks, ideas, product reviews, videos and more. I invite you to share yours works as well.
